Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of respiratory care practices, with experience in critical and acute care settings. As a Registered Respiratory Therapist, you will provide essential respiratory therapy services to patients across various departments, including hospital medicine, emergency medicine, intensive care units, and neonatal units. Your expertise will support patient recovery through advanced airway management, ventilator support, and respiratory assessments, ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and care. Duties Perform comprehensive patient assessments to evaluate respiratory function and determine appropriate treatment plans. Administer respiratory therapies, including oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, and medication delivery using specialized medical equipment. Manage ventilator settings and monitor patients on mechanical ventilation to optimize respiratory support. Assist in airway management procedures such as intubation, extubation, and airway clearance techniques. Respond promptly to cardiac arrest emergencies with advanced airway management and resuscitation protocols. Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities within electronic health records (EHR) systems. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in critical care, pediatrics, neonatology, and pulmonology to develop individualized treatment strategies. Ensure compliance with hospital safety standards, infection control protocols, and medical terminology guidelines. Experience Proven clinical experience in hospital settings with a focus on critical care, ICU, or emergency medicine. Demonstrated proficiency in ventilator management and respiratory device operation across diverse patient populations including neonates, pediatrics, geriatrics, and trauma cases. Experience working within Level I or Level II trauma centers is preferred. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for accurate documentation and patient record management. Strong background in airway management techniques and neonatal resuscitation procedures. Knowledge of physiology and anatomy related to respiratory function is essential for effective patient assessment. Prior outpatient or clinic experience involving respiratory therapy is advantageous but not required. $50.00 per hour Expected hours: 42.5 per week
