What they do
A Respiratory Therapist assists patients who have trouble breathing because of a chronic respiratory illness, trauma, or other conditions. Administers tests to diagnose breathing problems, performs treatments to help patients breathe easier, or sets up breathing equipment such as ventilators. Works closely with physicians and other healthcare workers, and may also assist in providing emergency care to patients suffering from heart attacks, drowning, or shock. Works in hospitals; may also provide care and counseling to patients in their homes.

5-7 call shifts per 7 week time blockProcedures:
Demonstrates competence in selecting exposure factors, positioning and consistently produces radiologic images of diagnostic quality. Works cooperatively with all members of the department to resolve problems expediently. Displays flexibility, team spirit, compassion, respect, politeness and accountability when dealing with customers. --Demonstrates awareness of and sensitivity for patient's rights in all interfaces with patients. Instructs and prepares patients for examinations and assists Radiologist during procedures. Demonstrates competence and proficiency in operation of all equipment and reports malfunctions to manager or lead.EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS 2
