Job Description

Category Respiratory Therapist Job Type Contract A rewarding opportunity is available for a skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist eager to make a difference in patient care. This contract role offers the chance to work nights, providing essential respiratory therapy services alongside an expert clinical team.
Schedule/Hours:
Night shifts 36 hours per week 13-week contract
Qualifications:
Current NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification Active NYS Respiratory Therapist License Valid BLS and ACLS certifications Experience in critical care and NICU environments Proficient with V60 BiPAP and 980 Puritan Bennett ventilators Familiarity with EPIC electronic health records Prior experience participating in external patient transport is necessary
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality respiratory care to neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients in acute settings, including intensive care and NICU Set up, operate, and manage non-invasive and mechanical ventilators and related respiratory equipment Accurately assess patient conditions, report changes, and document interventions in EPIC Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement personalized respiratory care plans Maintain readiness to participate in patient transports outside the hospital as needed, ensuring patient stability during transfers Follow all protocols, safety standards, and evidence-based practice guidelines
