Job Type:

Full-time, Independent Contractor (1099), Overnight 10-Hour Shifts (as needed based on patient scheduling)

Location:

Greater Valhalla, NY area (in-lab and hospital settings) About the Role We are seeking a State-Licensed Respiratory Therapist to conduct overnight polysomnography (sleep studies) for patients in both an in-lab sleep center and hospital setting. This is a full-time, 1099 independent contractor position. Shifts are overnight and typically run 10 hours. Responsibilities Set up and conduct in-lab and in-hospital overnight sleep studies (PSG) in accordance with AASM standards and facility protocols Apply and calibrate EEG, EOG, EMG, ECG, respiratory effort, airflow, and pulse oximetry sensors Monitor patients throughout the night, ensuring signal quality and patient comfort/safety Titrate and adjust CPAP/BiPAP settings as ordered Respond to patient needs and any medical concerns during the study Accurately document study findings, technical notes, and patient observations Score or prepare data for physician interpretation as required Maintain equipment, ensure proper infection control, and follow all facility and regulatory guidelines Communicate professionally with hospital staff, lab coordinators, and patients Qualifications Current State of New York Respiratory Therapist (RT) license (required) Prior experience conducting in-lab and/or in-hospital sleep studies strongly preferred CPR/BLS certification required Strong understanding of PSG equipment, montages, and troubleshooting Ability to work independently overnight with minimal supervision Reliable transportation to facilities in the greater Valhalla, NY area Schedule Full-time Overnight shifts, up to 10 hours, scheduled around patient study needs Compensation 1099 Independent Contractor Competitive hourly rate Inclusion and equal opportunity We're committed to working with contractors from all backgrounds and engaging talent through a fair, inclusive selection process.
