1 Description American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a NICU night shift position requiring 2+ years of pediatric or neonatal critical care experience. Details Work in a Level 3/4 NICU within a children's hospital setting Care for neonatal and pediatric critical care patients Patient ratio of 1:6 Night shift schedule, 3x12 hour shifts from 19:00-7:00 Float to other facility locations as needed to competent units EPIC charting experience preferred but not required Requirements Current RRT certification Minimum 2 years of pediatric or neonatal critical care experience BSN required due to Magnet facility status OH state license required at time of consideration, if applicable Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, and PALS Level 3 or 4 NICU experience preferred Prior travel experience required Proficiency in ventilator management including CPAP, BiPAP, high frequency jet ventilator, and high frequency oscillator Experience with airway management including extubation, suctioning, and tracheostomy care Skilled in interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs) and basic EKG Experience with medication delivery systems and administration including nebulizer treatments Experience assisting in high-risk deliveries and ECMO preferred Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration Additional Information Provide respiratory therapy services to critically ill neonatal and pediatric patients Perform airway management, oxygen therapy, and ventilator management as part of the NICU care team Participate in high-risk delivery response and nitric oxide therapy administration Facility will consider prior employees to return as travelers as long as they are not currently active employees Local candidates accepted at the same rate No radius rule applies for this position
