Job Description

Category Respiratory Therapist Job Type Contract Step into a vital healthcare role as a Registered Respiratory Therapist supporting patients through their respiratory challenges. This contract opportunity offers the chance to provide specialized care and work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals in a dynamic clinical environment.
Schedule:
Evenings:
3:00pm - 11:30pm 32 hours per week Every other weekend and holiday rotation
Qualifications:
Current credential as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Valid state respiratory care practitioner license Demonstrated competence in a range of respiratory therapy procedures and modalities BLS certification required; ACLS preferred Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills Comfortable working autonomously and as part of an interdisciplinary team Excellent communication skills for patient interactions and collaboration with healthcare staff
Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality respiratory care, including ventilator management, airway care, and administration of therapeutic modalities Perform assessments and evaluate patient responses to therapies and interventions Accurately document care provided and patient progress according to protocols Educate patients and families on respiratory treatments and equipment use Participate in code and emergency response situations as required Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to optimize patient outcomes
