A Respiratory Therapist assists patients who have trouble breathing because of a chronic respiratory illness, trauma, or other conditions. Administers tests to diagnose breathing problems, performs treatments to help patients breathe easier, or sets up breathing equipment such as ventilators. Works closely with physicians and other healthcare workers, and may also assist in providing emergency care to patients suffering from heart attacks, drowning, or shock. Works in hospitals; may also provide care and counseling to patients in their homes.

Job Description

I'm hiring for a Respiratory Therapist in Ohio! The RRT delivers patients care and diagnostic testing according to professional practice standards, while providing support for the healthcare system; acts as a resource through making decisions utilizing critical thinking; reviews existing clinical data, collects or recommends obtaining additional pertinent clinical data; evaluates all data to determine the appropriateness of the prescribed respiratory care plan and participates in the development of the respiratory care plan; and assembles, and assures cleanliness of all equipment used in providing respiratory care.
