Respiratory Therapists (RT)
Full-Time Nights Flint Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Location:
Newark, Ohio About the
Role:
Flint Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation, a skilled nursing facility providing short-term rehabilitation and extended care, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Respiratory Therapist (RT) to join our team. As a Respiratory Therapist (RT) with our facility, you will have the opportunity to work with a progressive, high-quality care team to deliver innovative therapy techniques and professional medical care to our patients. Our goal is to enable you to achieve the quality of life you deserve in a comfortable and intimate environment.
Responsibilities:
Sets up and operates devices such as mechanical ventilators, therapeutic gas administration apparatus, environmental control systems, and aerosol generators Operates equipment to ensure specified parameters of treatment and administers medicinal gases and aerosol drugs to patients under the orders of Physician Monitors patient's physiological responses to therapy through patient vital signs Assists patient in performing breathing exercises Observes equipment function and adjusts equipment to obtain optimum results to therapy Maintains patient's chart that contains pertinent identification and therapy information Inspects and tests respiratory therapy equipment to ensure equipment is functioning safely and efficiently Orders repairs when needed Demonstrates respiratory care procedures to trainees and other healthcare personnel
Requirements:
Active State Respiratory Care Practitioner License Completion of an approved school for respiratory therapy One to three months' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
