Job Description

Kettering Health seeks a dedicated Resp Therapist II to enhance our Respiratory Therapy team. This role involves providing critical respiratory care services to patients, underlining our mission to improve health outcomes through faith-based, advanced care techniques. Responsibilities Administer and manage inhalants to patients to ensure proper ventilatory support Monitor patient's physiological responses to therapy such as vital signs, arterial blood gases, and blood chemistry changes Perform diagnostic tests such as arterial blood gas analysis and lung capacity Collaboratively work with healthcare teams to formulate individualized patient care plans Educate patients and their families about lung health and maintenance regimens Respond to and treat any respiratory emergencies within the institution Regularly inspect, clean, and test respiratory therapy equipment to ensure proper operation Required Skills Proficiency in the use of ventilators, CPAP machines, and other respiratory equipment Strong analytical skills to assess patient conditions and implement appropriate treatments Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for educating patients and collaborating with other healthcare professionals Ability to stay calm and effective in medical emergencies In-depth knowledge of respiratory medications and their appropriate use Capability to perform extended periods of standing and walking around the healthcare facility
