A Respiratory Therapist assists patients who have trouble breathing because of a chronic respiratory illness, trauma, or other conditions. Administers tests to diagnose breathing problems, performs treatments to help patients breathe easier, or sets up breathing equipment such as ventilators. Works closely with physicians and other healthcare workers, and may also assist in providing emergency care to patients suffering from heart attacks, drowning, or shock. Works in hospitals; may also provide care and counseling to patients in their homes.

We are looking for a PRN Respiratory Therapist to work Day and night shifts. The Respiratory Therapist applies critical respiratory care theory and procedures in the treatment and diagnosis of patients in both high acuities Long Term Acute Care setting. Practitioners will deliver patient care in an age-appropriate manner while recognizing individual patient needs. Provides education to peers, students, and patients.
Qualifications:
Graduate of an AMA approved program in Respiratory Therapy. Board registered as a Respiratory Therapist by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). Licensed by the State of Oklahoma as a Respiratory Care Practitioner. Certified in BLS and ACLS. Two years of experience in the delivery of respiratory therapy in an intensive care setting.
