What they do
A Respiratory Therapist assists patients who have trouble breathing because of a chronic respiratory illness, trauma, or other conditions. Administers tests to diagnose breathing problems, performs treatments to help patients breathe easier, or sets up breathing equipment such as ventilators. Works closely with physicians and other healthcare workers, and may also assist in providing emergency care to patients suffering from heart attacks, drowning, or shock. Works in hospitals; may also provide care and counseling to patients in their homes.

$39.91- $54.
Shift Differentials:
$1.79 extra for working between 3:00pm- 11:00pm $3.
RT-P:
Respiratory Therapist licensed by Oregon Health Licensing Office (HLO) required upon startBLS:
Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider certified by American Heart Association (AHA) required upon start For Asante Ashland; PALS, ACLS, and NRP must be obtained within 6 months of start For Asante Three Rivers Medical Center (ATRMC); NRP is required upon start. Preferred Licensure/Certifications at Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center (ARRMC)ACLS:
Advanced Cardiac Life Support certified fromAmerican Heart Association PALS:
