As we grow our San Antonio presence, the right candidate will grow with us — in hours, responsibilities, and long-term opportunity within the company. About the Role Kids DME Inc. is expanding into the San Antonio/Laredo/Austin market and looking for a skilled, compassionate Respiratory Therapist to deliver and manage life-sustaining respiratory equipment for our pediatric patients. You will be the clinical backbone of our patient relationships — setting up equipment, educating caregivers, and ensuring every child we serve is safe and supported at home. This role begins as a part-time position and is designed to grow into a full-time role as our San Antonio operations expand. What You'll Do Deliver, set up, and calibrate home respiratory equipment including ventilators, oxygen concentrators, suction devices, cough assist, and pulse oximetry for pediatric patients Conduct in-home patient assessments and follow-up visits to ensure equipment is functioning correctly and caregivers feel confident Provide thorough, bilingual (English/Spanish) caregiver education on equipment operation, emergency protocols, and tracheostomy care Respond to on-call clinical inquiries and equipment concerns from patients and families Complete documentation accurately and on time within our Brightree system, including delivery records, assessments, and follow-up notes Communicate clinical updates to the referring physician and care team as needed Support prior authorization and medical necessity documentation in collaboration with our CSR/ billing team Represent Kids DME Inc. with professionalism when interfacing with hospital discharge teams, case managers, and referral sources Requirements Active Texas RRT or CRT license in good standing Current
CPR / BLS
certification Minimum 1 year of RT experience (pediatric, home health, or DME strongly preferred) Valid Texas driver's license and reliable personal vehicle Ability to work independently and manage a field-based schedule Comfortable operating in a home health environment — including homes with varying conditions Strong written and verbal communication skills Preferred Qualifications Bilingual — English and Spanish (strongly preferred given our patient population) Experience with pediatric ventilators: Trilogy Evo, LTV Series, Astral, or equivalent Familiarity with Brightree or similar DME software Experience with tracheostomy management and caregiver training in the home Prior DME or home health experience with Medicaid (TMHP / STAR Kids) or commercial payers Pediatric NPS credential or interest in pursuing one What We Offer Part-time to full-time conversion as the San Antonio territory grows Competitive pay commensurate with experience Flexible scheduling with defined on-call rotation Collaborative team culture with direct leadership access Meaningful, mission-driven work with pediatric patients and their families Bilingual workplace — Spanish speakers are valued and welcomed Kids DME Inc. has been serving South Texas pediatric patients and families for over 15 years.
