A Respiratory Therapist assists patients who have trouble breathing because of a chronic respiratory illness, trauma, or other conditions. Administers tests to diagnose breathing problems, performs treatments to help patients breathe easier, or sets up breathing equipment such as ventilators. Works closely with physicians and other healthcare workers, and may also assist in providing emergency care to patients suffering from heart attacks, drowning, or shock. Works in hospitals; may also provide care and counseling to patients in their homes.

Job Description

Shift:
6:45 AM - 7:15
PM Experience:
24 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months. 12 months of Respiratory Unit experience. Travel experience is required. Experience with Epic is required. Trauma Level 2 experience is required.
Requirements:
Candidates must have a license (required after submission). This role will require floating to multiple units Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >60 miles from facility to be submitted. 12 months gap required between for Staff at

Qualivis Program - MUSC Health and no current placement allowed at

Qualivis Program - MUSC Health. Pre-employment modules may be required for this role. Please upload any certifications or health documents you have to your profile to expedite your on-boarding process.
Additional Details:
RTO is due at time of submission. Travelers may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season (peak: August-September). If unavailable for emergency response duties, please do not confirm new assignments or extensions during this period. If your start date is within 90 days, you must complete all labs within 72 hours of signing an offer with MUSC. Any candidate that has 7+ days and/or includes holiday RTO will have to be submitted to the facility for approval and can delay the process.
Required Skills/Experience:
Must have recent critical care experience. Community Hospital Experience.
Special Requests:
Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season, all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams. If this is a problem, please ensure travelers do not confirm a NEW or EXT assignment during the season. Hurricane season runs from June through November each year. The peak months for hurricane activity are August and September.
Shift & Scheduling:
Every other weekend with holiday rotation.
Floating Requirements:
Yes, must be able to float to all areas of the hospital, including labor and delivery

: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear Yes or No response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined. 14 days maximum time off 2 Charge/Lead references required Proof of identification required
