TriStar Health is seeking a Respiratory Therapist Lead to coordinate daily respiratory care services across our acute care units. In this role, you will provide advanced bedside respiratory care, manage complex ventilator patients, and serve as a clinical resource to therapists and nursing staff. You will help oversee assignments, support protocol-driven, evidence-based practice, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. The Lead collaborates closely with physicians, mentors staff, assists with education and onboarding, and promotes a patient-first culture in a fast-paced hospital environment. Responsibilities Lead and coordinate daily respiratory therapy assignments and workflow Provide advanced respiratory care, including ventilator and airway management Serve as a clinical resource to respiratory therapists and nursing staff Ensure adherence to evidence-based protocols, safety, and quality standards Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams on care plans Mentor, precept, and support education for respiratory staff Assist with onboarding, training, and competency validation Monitor documentation accuracy and support EMR best practices Participate in performance improvement and patient safety initiatives Support emergency response, including rapid response and code events Required Skills Advanced respiratory assessment Mechanical ventilation management Airway management Arterial blood gas interpretation Neonatal/pediatric respiratory care Electronic medical record (EMR) documentation Staff supervision and scheduling Clinical protocol development Patient and family education Interdisciplinary team collaboration
