Job Description

TriStar Health seeks a skilled Respiratory Therapist RRT for our NICU team. In this role, you'll deliver advanced respiratory care to premature and critically ill newborns, including ventilator management, oxygen therapy, and respiratory diagnostics. You'll collaborate closely with neonatologists and NICU nurses, participate in high-risk deliveries, and support evidence-based protocols. Responsibilities include ABG analysis, equipment setup and troubleshooting, precise documentation, and educating families. Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive respiratory therapy to premature and critically ill neonates in the NICU. Manage and monitor ventilators, CPAP, oxygen therapy, and related respiratory equipment. Perform respiratory assessments, interpret ABGs, and adjust therapy based on clinical data. Assist at high-risk deliveries and neonatal resuscitations as part of the care team. Set up, calibrate, and troubleshoot respiratory equipment to ensure safe, reliable operation. Document assessments, treatments, and patient responses accurately in the EMR. Collaborate with neonatologists, nurses, and other clinicians to implement care plans. Educate and support families on respiratory conditions, equipment, and home-care considerations. Follow strict infection control, safety, and regulatory standards in the NICU environment. Participate in ongoing education, competency training, and quality improvement initiatives.
