Job Description

TriStar Health, a leading HCA Healthcare network in Middle Tennessee and Southern Kentucky, is seeking a compassionate Respiratory Therapist RRT to deliver evidence-based respiratory care in an acute-care setting. In this role, you will assess patients, manage ventilators, perform arterial blood gases, and administer oxygen and aerosol therapies for diverse patient populations. You'll collaborate closely with physicians and multidisciplinary teams, respond to respiratory emergencies, and educate patients and families. Responsibilities Administer respiratory therapies, including oxygen, aerosol, and nebulizer treatments per physician orders Perform patient assessments, monitor respiratory status, and adjust care plans accordingly Manage ventilators and advanced respiratory equipment safely and accurately Conduct arterial blood gas sampling and interpret basic results to guide therapy Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams on patient care plans Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions, medications, and home equipment use Document all treatments, assessments, and patient responses in the electronic medical record Maintain, troubleshoot, and ensure proper cleaning of respiratory therapy equipment Respond to respiratory emergencies, including code situations and rapid response calls Support quality, safety, and evidence-based practice initiatives within the department Required Skills Ventilator management Arterial blood gas sampling and interpretation Airway management and oxygen therapy Nebulizer and aerosol therapy administration Non-invasive ventilation (Bi
