Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program Active Respiratory Therapist or Registered Respiratory Therapist license Current BLS certification; ACLS preferred Knowledge of respiratory equipment, ventilators, and related therapies Strong assessment, critical thinking, and written documentation skills Ability to work efficiently within a multidisciplinary team Recent acute care experience highly desirable
Role Responsibilities:
Perform respiratory assessments, treatments, and care plans for diverse patient populations Administer and monitor oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and mechanical ventilation Conduct diagnostic procedures such as arterial blood gas analysis and pulmonary function testing Respond promptly to respiratory emergencies and code situations, ensuring patient safety Educate patients and their families on respiratory conditions, equipment usage, and self-care strategies Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with all facility procedures
