What they do
A Respiratory Therapist assists patients who have trouble breathing because of a chronic respiratory illness, trauma, or other conditions. Administers tests to diagnose breathing problems, performs treatments to help patients breathe easier, or sets up breathing equipment such as ventilators. Works closely with physicians and other healthcare workers, and may also assist in providing emergency care to patients suffering from heart attacks, drowning, or shock. Works in hospitals; may also provide care and counseling to patients in their homes.

Contract runs from 09/15/2026 to 12/15/2026.Key Qualifications:
Current credentials as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required Valid Respiratory Therapist license recognized in the practicing state Previous experience providing respiratory care in acute and/or sub-acute settings Proven ability to work effectively in fast-paced healthcare environments Proficient in administering respiratory therapies, managing ventilation, and utilizing respiratory care equipment Excellent communication and documentation skillsRole Responsibilities:
Conduct respiratory assessments and develop individualized care plans in coordination with the clinical team Deliver prescribed respiratory therapy treatments such as nebulization, oxygen therapy, and chest physiotherapy Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot ventilators and other respiratory support equipment Respond rapidly to respiratory emergencies, providing critical support and intervention as needed Educate patients and families about respiratory treatments and home care post-discharge Accurately document all therapies, treatments, and patient interactions per facility protocols Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other allied health professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care This contract offers the chance to apply clinical expertise in a supportive, patient-centered environment and make a demonstrable impact in patients' lives.
