1 Description American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a day shift hospital position requiring at least 1 year of experience and recent Epic EMR experience. Details Respiratory therapy department providing care to adult critical care and pediatric patients Performs basic respiratory treatments including aerosolized medication administration via oral inhalation, EZPAP, IPPB, and MDI Provides chest physiotherapy (CPT), incentive spirometry, oxygen therapy, CPAP/BiPAP therapy, and arteriocentesis Manages ventilators including BiPAP, CPAP, and flow-by, with troubleshooting high pressure alarms and weaning from mechanical ventilation Performs airway management including intubation assist, extubation, nasal/oral airway placement, and suctioning Collects sputum specimens and manages tracheostomy care Utilizes high flow nasal cannula (HFNC) oxygen therapy Interprets arterial blood gases (ABGs) Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM Weekend and holiday coverage required No on-call requirements Floating expected unless otherwise stated Requirements Current RRT certification BLS and ACLS certification required Active TN or compact state license required if applicable Minimum 1 year of experience required Prior travel experience preferred Epic EMR experience within the last 18 months required and must be clearly documented on profile Must pass Epic competency exam upon assignment start; only one attempt allowed Teaching hospital experience preferred Two supervisory references required for consideration Must be clean-shaven if fit testing is required for respiratory protection Additional Information Works as part of a respiratory care team supporting adult and pediatric patients Local candidates accepted at the same rate All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed prior to consideration, as additional RTO will not be approved afterward No block scheduling or special schedule requests will be accommodated
