A Respiratory Therapist assists patients who have trouble breathing because of a chronic respiratory illness, trauma, or other conditions. Administers tests to diagnose breathing problems, performs treatments to help patients breathe easier, or sets up breathing equipment such as ventilators. Works closely with physicians and other healthcare workers, and may also assist in providing emergency care to patients suffering from heart attacks, drowning, or shock. Works in hospitals; may also provide care and counseling to patients in their homes.

Respiratory Therapist at NHC Johnson City NHC Johnson City is looking for a Part-time Respiratory Therapist to join our team!

The qualified candidate will have:

Certified or Registered Respiratory Therapist with current state license. Excellent technical, assessment and documentation skills. Good Leadership qualities. Organized and detailed in work performance. Good communication skills with excellent self-discipline and patience. Genuine caring for and interest in elderly and disabled people in a nursing facility. Comply with the Residents Rights and Facility Policies and Procedures. Perform work tasks within the physical demand requirements as outlined below. Perform Essential Duties as outlined above.
