TriStar Health seeks a compassionate Respiratory Therapist RRT to provide evidence-based respiratory care in our dynamic hospital network. In this role, you will assess patients, manage ventilators, perform ABGs and diagnostics, and respond to respiratory emergencies across varied acuity levels. Responsibilities Deliver safe, evidence-based respiratory care including assessments, treatments, and ventilator management for diverse patient populations Perform and interpret arterial blood gases, pulmonary function tests, and respiratory diagnostics Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and adjust care plans Respond to respiratory emergencies, including rapid response and code blue situations Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions, equipment, and home-care techniques Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record and ensure regulatory compliance Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain respiratory equipment such as ventilators, Bi PAP/CPAP, and nebulizers Follow infection prevention, patient safety, and quality improvement protocols Precept or mentor less experienced therapists and participate in ongoing education Support departmental initiatives and contribute to a culture of compassion, safety, and continuous improvement Required Skills Ventilator management (invasive and non-invasive) Arterial blood gas sampling and interpretation Pulmonary function testing and respiratory diagnostics Airway management and oxygen therapy modalities Respiratory pharmacology and aerosol therapy Electronic medical record documentation Emergency response (rapid response, code blue) Infection control and patient safety protocols Equipment troubleshooting and maintenance Interdisciplinary communication and patient education
