Medical City Healthcare is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our NICU team within our Healthcare & Medical Services department. In this role, you will provide advanced respiratory care to neonates, including ventilator management, respiratory assessments, and emergency interventions. You will collaborate closely with neonatologists, nurses, and other specialists to deliver evidence-based, family-centered care. Responsibilities include monitoring patient progress, documenting treatments, and educating families. Ideal candidates hold appropriate licensure, have NICU or pediatric experience, strong critical-thinking skills, and a commitment to high-quality, compassionate care. Responsibilities Provide respiratory assessment, treatment, and ongoing management for premature and critically ill neonates in the NICUSet up, operate, monitor, and adjust mechanical ventilators, CPAP, HFNC, and other respiratory support devices for neonatal patients Perform and interpret arterial, capillary, and venous blood gas tests and other respiratory diagnostics, reporting results and recommending adjustments to therapy Collaborate with neonatologists, NICU nurses, and other clinicians to develop, implement, and update individualized respiratory care plans Respond rapidly to neonatal respiratory emergencies, codes, and high risk deliveries, participating in resuscitation and stabilization Administer aerosolized medications, surfactant therapy, chest physiotherapy, and other respiratory interventions according to physician orders and protocols Ensure accurate, timely documentation of assessments, interventions, ventilator settings, and patient responses in the electronic medical record Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot respiratory equipment; ensure adherence to infection prevention, safety, and regulatory standards Educate and support families regarding respiratory conditions, treatments, and equipment, using clear and compassionate communication Participate in quality improvement initiatives, competency training, and continuing education related to neonatal respiratory care and NICU best practices Required Skills Neonatal mechanical ventilation management Non invasive ventilation (CPAP, Bi
