A Respiratory Therapist assists patients who have trouble breathing because of a chronic respiratory illness, trauma, or other conditions. Administers tests to diagnose breathing problems, performs treatments to help patients breathe easier, or sets up breathing equipment such as ventilators. Works closely with physicians and other healthcare workers, and may also assist in providing emergency care to patients suffering from heart attacks, drowning, or shock. Works in hospitals; may also provide care and counseling to patients in their homes.

RCP License Full Job Description Role:

PRN Certified Respiratory Therapist responsible for delivering pulmonary care and diagnostic testing in a fast-paced, technical environment.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, perform evidence-based respiratory care, communicate effectively, build relationships, ensure accountability, seek continuous improvement, and support a positive patient experience.

Qualifications & Skills:

Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program, current BLS and ACLS certifications, Texas licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner, registration with the National Board for Respiratory Care, and a minimum of 6 months of respiratory care experience. NRP and PALS certifications are required within one year of hire.

Key Duties:

Provide pulmonary care per physician orders, perform diagnostic tests, maintain professional growth, and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
