Medical City North Hills invites applications for the position of Respiratory Therapist RRT PRN, ideal for a dedicated professional passionate about providing top-tier respiratory care. Located in North Richland Hills, Texas, our hospital is renowned for excellence in multiple specialties including emergency care, heart and vascular, orthopedics, and rehabilitation. As part of the esteemed Medical City Healthcare system, we uphold high standards by incorporating advanced medical practices and innovative healthcare solutions. Our PRN (pro re nata - as needed) role requires flexibility to meet department needs during periods of higher demand. Responsibilities Administer and manage respiratory care as prescribed by physicians. Perform diagnostic tests such as arterial blood gas analysis and spirometry. Manage ventilators and artificial airway devices for patients who cannot breathe normally on their own. Educate patients and families about respiratory treatments and maintenance techniques. Monitor patient physiological responses to therapy and adjust treatments accordingly. Document patient treatment and response to therapies in accordance with hospital policy. Required Skills Expert knowledge in cardiopulmonary resuscitation and other medical emergency techniques. Proficient in using ventilators, oxygen units, and other respiratory care devices. Strong interpersonal and communication skills for educating and interacting with patients, families, and medical staff. Capability to assess, diagnose, and treat patients with varying levels of respiratory issues.
