8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• All duties and responsibilities shall be performed as set forth in our established policies and procedures.
• Adheres to and assures compliance with Code of Conduct, Resident Rights, facility policies and procedures and all applicable rules, regulations and standards as set by Federal, State and regulating bodies.
• Interpret, organize and implement physician, nurse practitioner, or licensed medical professional orders directing resident care.
• Assist and continually monitor residents for proper position of airways, oxygenation, and respiratory stability.
• Successfully collaborate and initiate coordination of respiratory services with other resident services to ensure the continuity of the resident's total regimen of care.
• Participate and cooperate with all aspects of facility needs and initiatives.
• Perform necessary duties such as completing medical forms, reports, evaluations, studies, charting, and any other necessary documents as required or requested.
• Initiate and be clinically responsible for the administration of respiratory therapies as prescribes to include but no limited to: o Ventilator management, assessment, cleaning, weaning and maintenance o Tracheostomy maintenance, cleaning, replacement, and assurance of airway.

o Tracheal, NT, OT suction. o Accurately obtain, document and report all pertinent vital signs o Review and revise patient respiratory care plans as necessary

QUALIFICATIONS

Certificates and Licenses:

• Must possess a current Respiratory Therapist license issued by the state.
