A Respiratory Therapist assists patients who have trouble breathing because of a chronic respiratory illness, trauma, or other conditions. Administers tests to diagnose breathing problems, performs treatments to help patients breathe easier, or sets up breathing equipment such as ventilators. Works closely with physicians and other healthcare workers, and may also assist in providing emergency care to patients suffering from heart attacks, drowning, or shock. Works in hospitals; may also provide care and counseling to patients in their homes.

1 Description American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with adult critical care and pediatric experience for a night shift position in a large hospital setting. Details Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics unit assignment 13-week assignment Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM Cerner charting experience preferred Requirements Minimum 2 years of experience required RRT credential required (CRT not accepted) Strong ICU/CCU experience required ER and Level II Trauma experience required Pediatric experience required Large facility experience strongly preferred Current certifications:

ACLS, BLS, NBRC, RRT

License required if applicable Additional Information Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted with application, and candidates should expect to work some holidays Candidates with a pending license may be considered but must have an active license before the start date Facility conducts an on-site drug screen including a marijuana panel, with failure resulting in cancellation Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility as local candidates are not accepted First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
