1 Description American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with at least 1 year of experience and community hospital background for a day shift assignment. Details Community hospital setting within the Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics-RRT unit Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM Weekend and holiday work required Epic charting system experience preferred Work with adult critical care, emergency department, NICU, and pediatric patient populations Experience with pulmonary function testing and pulmonary rehab preferred Requirements Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license required if applicable Minimum 1 year of experience required Community hospital experience required Trauma Level I and II experience preferred Military-issued certifications accepted, AHA preferred (ARC not accepted) State-issued ID required prior to consideration Skilled in ventilator management, including BiPAP, CPAP, and weaning from mechanical ventilation Experience with airway management including intubation, extubation, and tracheostomy care Proficiency in arterial blood gas draws and interpretation Experience with medication delivery systems and aerosol setups Additional Information First-time travelers will be considered for this position Provide respiratory care across multiple patient populations including adult, pediatric, and neonatal Perform ventilator management, airway procedures, and medication administration as needed Complete required clinical modules prior to start, with any remaining modules completed during orientation and annually thereafter Royal blue scrubs required but not provided RTO requests limited to 5 non-consecutive days, with additional restrictions during the November through January holiday season All RTO must be approved by management prior to contract signing Local candidates within 90 miles are accepted at a lower pay rate
