What they do
A Respiratory Therapist assists patients who have trouble breathing because of a chronic respiratory illness, trauma, or other conditions. Administers tests to diagnose breathing problems, performs treatments to help patients breathe easier, or sets up breathing equipment such as ventilators. Works closely with physicians and other healthcare workers, and may also assist in providing emergency care to patients suffering from heart attacks, drowning, or shock. Works in hospitals; may also provide care and counseling to patients in their homes.

$46.90 per hour Pay package discussed upon application Benefits include: Competitive pay packages Weekly pay via direct deposit Medical benefits (W-2) Referral bonus program Paid sick time in accordance with applicable laws Licensure, certification, travel, and other reimbursements (when applicable) Dedicated support team from VHS What You'll Do Provide critical and non-critical respiratory care for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized respiratory care plans Manage ventilators, administer aerosolized drugs, and support airway management Perform diagnostic procedures such as blood gass analysis and EKG interpretation Respond to emergency codes and assist in airway emergencies Maintain accurate documentation and ensure equipment readiness Support hospital compliance and participate in surveys as needed Assist with advanced practice procedures, including pulmonary function testing and transport dutiesWhat You Need Required:
RT or RCP license in Texas Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification from NBRC BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications (AHA) 1-3 years of experience preferredPreferred:
