Responsibilities Provide evidence-based respiratory care to neonatal and pediatric patients in acute and critical care settings Perform assessments, implement treatment plans, and adjust therapy based on patient response and physician orders Manage mechanical ventilation, oxygen therapy, and airway clearance procedures safely and effectively Respond to respiratory emergencies and participate in resuscitation efforts as part of the care team Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions, therapies, and home-care instructions Document all assessments, treatments, and patient responses accurately in the EMREnsure proper operation, cleaning, and maintenance of respiratory therapy equipment Adhere to infection control, safety, and regulatory standards at all times Support a mission-driven, compassionate, and culturally sensitive care environment Required Skills Pediatric respiratory assessment Mechanical ventilation management Airway clearance techniques Neonatal and pediatric oxygen therapy Arterial blood gas sampling and interpretation Emergency response and resuscitation (PALS/NRP) Respiratory care equipment operation and troubleshooting Electronic medical record documentation Infection prevention and control Patient and family education
