A Respiratory Therapist assists patients who have trouble breathing because of a chronic respiratory illness, trauma, or other conditions. Administers tests to diagnose breathing problems, performs treatments to help patients breathe easier, or sets up breathing equipment such as ventilators. Works closely with physicians and other healthcare workers, and may also assist in providing emergency care to patients suffering from heart attacks, drowning, or shock. Works in hospitals; may also provide care and counseling to patients in their homes.

Responsible for the pulmonary care of critical, non-critical, and chronically ill adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients under the direction of a physician with minimal supervision. Performs patient assessments and institutes respiratory care plans. Performs various technical and diagnostic respiratory therapy procedures in all areas of the hospital. Experience 1 - 3 years of experience preferred Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications RT or RCP License in state of TX required Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by NBRC required BLS required (AHA only) ACLS required (AHA only) PALS required (AHA only) NRP requiredPay Details:
Total weeklyGross:
