A Respiratory Therapist assists patients who have trouble breathing because of a chronic respiratory illness, trauma, or other conditions. Administers tests to diagnose breathing problems, performs treatments to help patients breathe easier, or sets up breathing equipment such as ventilators. Works closely with physicians and other healthcare workers, and may also assist in providing emergency care to patients suffering from heart attacks, drowning, or shock. Works in hospitals; may also provide care and counseling to patients in their homes.

Your Job:
In this highly technical, fast-paced, and challenging Respiratory Therapist position, you'll collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to provide the very best care for patients. The Respiratory Therapist consistently performs evidence based pulmonary care and diagnostic testing in accordance with physician orders and evidence based protocols.Your Job Requirements:
This position will be located at the Bush Renner Campus Currently licensed in good standing as a Respiratory Care Practitioners (RCP) by the state of Texas- Current Basic Life Support certification required
- Advanced Cardio Life Support required (NRP, Pediatric Advanced Life Support where applicable certification - must obtain within 1 year of hire)
- Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care
- If Certified, must be Registry eligible and obtain Registered status within 6 months of hire
- At least 6 months respiratory care experience
