Job Description

Medical City Healthcare seeks a Respiratory Therapist RRT to deliver high-quality respiratory care for diverse patient populations. In this role, you will assess respiratory status, perform diagnostic tests, manage ventilators, and administer therapies to support optimal pulmonary function. You will collaborate closely with physicians and nursing staff, respond to respiratory emergencies, and provide education to patients and families. Responsibilities Monitor and evaluate patient respiratory data to support clinical decision-making for ventilated and non-ventilated patients Administer respiratory therapies, including oxygen, nebulizer treatments, and airway clearance techniques per physician orders Perform and interpret arterial blood gas tests and pulmonary function assessments Set up, manage, and troubleshoot ventilators and non-invasive respiratory support equipment Maintain accurate electronic documentation of assessments, treatments, and patient responses Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and care teams to develop and adjust respiratory care plans Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions, equipment use, and home-care strategies Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and regulatory standards in all respiratory procedures Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adopt evidence-based respiratory care practices Provide rapid response and code support for patients with respiratory distress or failure Required Skills Respiratory assessment Mechanical ventilation management Arterial blood gas analysis Pulmonary function testing Airway management Non-invasive ventilation (Bi
