Location:

Middlebury, VT Travel assignment in a hospital setting Potential for extension based on unit needs Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive respiratory care to neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients per physician orders, including ventilator management and airway therapies. Administer inhaled medications, perform aerosolized treatments, and conduct necessary airway clearance techniques. Conduct diagnostic testing and monitoring (e.g., arterial blood gases, ventilator status, monitors) and adjust therapy as appropriate. Document care and outcomes in the electronic medical record (Epic) and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on patient care plans. Maintain equipment, ensure infection control practices, and participate in unit-specific quality and safety initiatives. Requirements Vermont state licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) or eligibility; NBRC verification required.

Certification:

Certified or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT/CRT) or eligible to take NBRC written examination; NBRC verification required.

Required certifications:

ACLS, BLS, NRP, and

PALS. NICU

experience within the last year; patient population across age groups including ICU and ED settings. Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years. Minimum 2 years of clinical experience, with at least 2 years in the specialty area. Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and participate in a travel assignment with 2 out of 4 holiday coverage as scheduled.
