Job Description

Category Respiratory - Registered Respiratory Therapist Job Type Travel Step into a vital clinical role providing essential care as a Registered Respiratory Therapist. You'll work closely with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, delivering patient-focused respiratory care for individuals with acute and chronic respiratory conditions.
Key Qualifications:
Current credential as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program Valid state licensure as required for practicing in the field Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and critical thinking capabilities Excellent communication and team collaboration skills Previous experience in a hospital or acute care setting is highly desirable
Schedule:
Assignment is contract-based; schedule may include evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed to provide continuous patient care
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver comprehensive respiratory care to patients requiring ventilator management, oxygen therapy, airway management, aerosol treatments, and pulmonary function testing Assess, monitor, and document patients' respiratory status, responding promptly to changes in condition Collaborate proactively with physicians, nurses, and other health professionals to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans Operate and maintain respiratory care equipment, ensuring functionality and safety for patient use Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions, equipment, and therapies to promote understanding and support effective home care as required Maintain strict adherence to all infection control, safety procedures, and regulatory standards
