Job Description - Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 13-week travel assignment. The ideal candidate will have experience providing respiratory care across adult, emergency, and maternity/OB settings. This role requires strong critical thinking, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Job Duration:
13 weeks Requirements Minimum 1 year of Respiratory Therapy experience Family maternity and OB experience is required , including C-section support Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential Active Washington State Respiratory Care License Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications Experience with Epic electronic medical records Proficiency in: Adult critical care and emergency respiratory care Arterial punctures and arterial blood gas (ABG) interpretation Ventilator management (CPAP, BiPAP, SIMV, HFNC, mechanical ventilation) Airway management, tracheostomy care, oxygen therapy, and nebulizer treatments Respiratory medication administration Assisting with high-risk deliveries and neonatal respiratory support Ability to care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients Willingness to float between designated facilities as needed Responsibilities Assess, treat, and monitor patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary conditions. Administer prescribed respiratory therapies and medications. Perform arterial blood gas sampling and interpret results. Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot ventilators and other respiratory care equipment. Provide airway management, oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, and tracheostomy care. Assist with labor and delivery cases, including C-sections, and provide neonatal respiratory support when required. Respond to respiratory emergencies and collaborate with rapid response teams. Accurately document patient care using the Epic electronic medical record system. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans. Adhere to all clinical protocols, infection prevention standards, and patient safety guidelines while delivering high-quality respiratory care.
Pay:
$50.00 - $55.00 per hour
