Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist specializing in Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this role, you will provide advanced respiratory care to critically ill pediatric and neonatal patients across various hospital settings, including Level I and Level II trauma centers. Your expertise will support patient stabilization, airway management, ventilator therapy, and emergency response efforts, ensuring optimal outcomes for our most vulnerable populations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in diverse clinical environments, delivering comprehensive respiratory therapy with a focus on critical and intensive care. Responsibilities Deliver specialized respiratory care to pediatric and neonatal patients in the PICU, including ventilator management, airway clearance, and oxygen therapy. Perform patient assessments by monitoring vital signs, blood gases, and physiologic parameters to evaluate respiratory status. Operate and troubleshoot a wide range of respiratory equipment such as ventilators, nebulizers, and oxygen delivery devices. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans aligned with patient needs. Respond promptly to cardiac arrest emergencies and participate in advanced life support procedures such as neonatal resuscitation. Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities within electronic health records (EHR) systems. Educate patients' families on respiratory therapies, device usage, and post-discharge care instructions. Assist in emergency situations involving airway compromise or acute respiratory distress with professionalism and technical proficiency. Stay current with hospital protocols, medical terminology, physiology knowledge, and advances in pulmonology to ensure best practices. HAL01
