Qualifications:

Current Respiratory Therapist credentials; Registered Respiratory Therapist status required Valid state license to practice as a Respiratory Therapist Previous experience in a hospital or acute care environment preferred Strong clinical assessment and ventilator management skills Proficiency in emergency airway management and pulmonary function testing Excellent communication and teamwork abilities BLS and ACLS certifications

Responsibilities:

Administer and monitor advanced respiratory care procedures, including mechanical ventilation, nebulizer treatments, intubation assistance, and suctioning Perform diagnostic tests and assess patient respiratory status Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other care team members to implement and evaluate care plans Ensure accurate documentation of patient progress, interventions, and outcomes Educate patients and families on treatment plans and respiratory therapies Maintain compliance with infection control protocols and safety guidelines Participate in weekend and holiday coverage as scheduled This contract position offers the chance to work in a supportive, fast-paced environment where your expertise is valued and needed.
