A Respiratory Therapist assists patients who have trouble breathing because of a chronic respiratory illness, trauma, or other conditions. Administers tests to diagnose breathing problems, performs treatments to help patients breathe easier, or sets up breathing equipment such as ventilators. Works closely with physicians and other healthcare workers, and may also assist in providing emergency care to patients suffering from heart attacks, drowning, or shock. Works in hospitals; may also provide care and counseling to patients in their homes.

Welch, WV Now Hiring - Respiratory Therapist Join a dedicated healthcare team providing exceptional respiratory care in a well-established community hospital serving southern West Virginia. We are seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist who is passionate about delivering high-quality patient care in a collaborative environment.

Full-Time Minimum Qualifications Current Respiratory Therapist (RT) License Current BLS Certification (American Heart Association) Minimum 1-2 years of Respiratory Therapy experience Strong communication and critical thinking skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment About the Facility This is a 65-bed acute care hospital offering a broad range of inpatient and outpatient services, including: 24/7 physician-staffed Emergency Department 7-bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Comprehensive Respiratory Therapy/Cardiopulmonary Services Obstetrics & Gynecology (OB-GYN) services Clinical Laboratory Advanced Radiology Department featuring: Spiral CT Scanner Bone Density Scanner Digital Mammography Clinical Inpatient Pharmacy Rural Health Clinic Surgery Clinic
