Job Description

Embark on an exciting professional journey as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) and make a meaningful impact in the lives of students for the upcoming school year in Alaska. This full-time contract position offers the chance to bring your expertise to vibrant school communities near Soldotna while experiencing the stunning natural beauty of Americas last frontier. The district is seeking nine talented SLPs, welcoming both local and travel clinicians ready for adventure and professional growth.
Candidates should bring:
Current Speech-Language Pathology licensure and certification (CCC-SLP) Prior school-based SLP experience preferred, but strong clinical backgrounds considered Familiarity with IEP processes and direct/indirect therapy services Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills A passion for fostering student success and supporting diverse learners Flexibility, adaptability, and a positive approach to challenges Primary duties will include: Conducting assessments and evaluations of students speech, language, and communication needs Developing, implementing, and monitoring individualized treatment plans and IEPs Delivering therapy services to students individually and in groups Collaborating with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student outcomes Tracking progress, maintaining accurate documentation, and participating in team meetings Promoting an inclusive and nurturing learning environment If youve been seeking an opportunity to advance your SLP career while experiencing the thrill of Alaskas breathtaking landscape, this role is an excellent match.
