Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Speech-Language Pathologist, where you will play a vital role in improving communication and swallowing skills for diverse patient populations. This rewarding position offers the opportunity to work with children and adults, including pediatric populations, individuals with disabilities, and geriatric patients. You will deliver comprehensive speech and language evaluations, develop personalized therapy plans, and collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Your expertise will help empower patients to communicate effectively and enhance their quality of life through evidence-based practices and compassionate care. Responsibilities Conduct thorough speech and language assessments for patients across various age groups, including pediatrics and geriatrics. Develop, implement, and monitor individualized speech-language therapy plans tailored to each patient's specific needs. Provide direct therapy sessions via in-person or telehealth platforms, utilizing current telehealth best practices to reach remote or underserved populations. Collaborate with families, caregivers, educators, and healthcare professionals to support patient progress and ensure consistency in therapy approaches. Maintain accurate documentation of patient evaluations, treatment progress, and clinical notes within Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems. Educate patients and their families on speech-language disorders, treatment goals, and strategies for ongoing communication improvement. Stay current with advances in physiology, anatomy knowledge, medical terminology, and evidence-based practices related to speech-language pathology. Requirements Valid state licensure and certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (e.g., ASHA CCC-SLP). Proven experience working with children and adults is highly preferred. Myofunctional experience with children and adults highly preferred. Supervision of SLPA is also preferred. Demonstrated expertise in speech therapy techniques for individuals with speech impairments across various diagnoses. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to speech-language pathology. Experience conducting comprehensive speech and language evaluations and implementing effective therapy plans. Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams including educators, medical professionals, and caregivers. Prior telehealth experience is desirable; familiarity with teletherapy platforms is a plus. Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach tailored to diverse populations including pediatric and geriatric patients. Pay:
$50.00 - $60.00 per hour Expected hours: 10.0 - 30.0 per week
