Make a difference in students lives as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) delivering essential services across several Birmingham-area schools. This is an onsite position supporting preschool, elementary, middle, and high school students. Step into a rewarding, full-time opportunity scheduled from August through May, where youll manage a caseload of approximately 60 students and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications:

Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology Active SLP license in Alabama SLP Educator certificate for Alabama (required) Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) or eligibility as a Clinical Fellow (CF) Successful fingerprint clearance as required by Alabama state standards Previous experience in school settings strongly preferred Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills

Responsibilities:

Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments for students in PK-12 settings Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs Provide direct therapy services in individual and group formats Collaborate with teachers, instructional staff, and families to support student progress Maintain thorough and accurate documentation in compliance with school and state requirements Participate in IEP meetings and serve as a resource for staff and families regarding speech and language development This position covers campuses such as Burkett Preschool, Hueytown Primary, Lipscomb Elementary, Hueytown Middle, Pinson Valley High School, and other local sites.
