A Speech Language Pathologist diagnoses and treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients with a variety of conditions. Helps patients improve their ability to make sounds or use language, or develop non-spoken means of communication. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.
Pediatric Outpatient Clinic We are looking for a compassionate, motivated, and dependable Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our pediatric outpatient therapy team. The SLP will evaluate and treat children with a variety of speech, language, communication, and developmental needs while collaborating closely with families and an interdisciplinary therapy team. Responsibilities Evaluate and treat pediatric patients with a variety of communication needs Develop individualized plans of care and measurable treatment goals Provide one-on-one speech and language therapy Complete evaluations, progress reports, daily notes, and other required documentation accurately and on time Work with children with articulation, receptive and expressive language, social communication, fluency, AAC, and other communication needs Provide parent and caregiver education and home recommendations Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed Collaborate with OTs, COTAs, SLPAs, behavioral therapists, and other members of the care team Provide supervision to SLPAs when applicable Maintain professional communication with families, coworkers, and referral sources Maintain a safe, organized, and child-friendly treatment environment Qualifications Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Current or eligible Alabama SLP license Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence ( CCC-SLP ) preferred CF-SLP candidates may be considered Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills Dependable, professional, and team-oriented Pediatric experience preferred, but not required Why Join Our Team?
