Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a meaningful difference in students' lives while advancing your career as a Speech-Language Pathologist on a contract assignment supporting a local school community near Pelham, AL. This unique opportunity focuses on the delivery of high-quality therapeutic services to children and adolescents in a collaborative educational setting. Specialists with pediatric, teletherapy, and school-based experience—especially those who hold, or are working towards, the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or completing a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)—are encouraged to bring their expertise and passion.
Qualifications & Experience Desired:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Current state licensure (or eligibility) as an
SLP ASHA
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; CFY candidates are welcome to apply Recent experience in pediatrics, school-based or teletherapy settings Strong communication and organizational skills Compassionate, patient-focused approach to therapy and IEP development
Key Responsibilities:
Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in K-12 students Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and document progress Deliver services onsite or via teletherapy, as assigned Consult with educators and participate in team meetings as needed Maintain accurate records in compliance with state and federal requirements Enjoy the chance to work in a supportive environment where professional growth and student achievement go hand in hand.
