Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic school-based setting supporting elementary and middle school students as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in the Montgomery area. This opportunity offers you a chance to make a meaningful difference, providing crucial speech and language services across one, occasionally two, campuses within a collaborative educational environment. You'll work with a manageable caseload of approximately 60 students and have the opportunity to supervise Clinical Fellows (CFs) if you hold your CCCs.
Qualifications:
Current SLP (ASHA) certification and license to practice in Alabama Professional educator license for Alabama (visit the educator certification website to verify) Comfortable supervising Clinical Fellows if holding CCCs Previous experience in school settings or working with elementary/middle school populations preferred Strong interpersonal and organizational skills Willingness to work onsite, supporting students and teaming closely with school staff
Responsibilities:
Provide direct speech and language therapy to students in group and individual settings Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in line with state and federal guidelines Collaborate with teachers, other related service providers, and families to ensure student progress Maintain accurate and timely documentation Conduct assessments and contribute to multidisciplinary team decisions Supervise Clinical Fellows if credentialed as
