Speech/Language Pathologist Montgomery Public Schools - 3.5 Tuscaloosa, AL Job Details 6 hours ago Qualifications Master's degree in speech-language pathology (SLP) Master's degree Speech-Language Pathology License Full Job Description Speech and Language Pathologist (Contracted) I Dream Big Charter School | Tuscaloosa, Alabama I Dream Big Charter School is seeking a contracted Speech and Language Pathologist to serve our Dreamers. We are a mission driven public charter school located on the campus of Stillman College, built on the belief that every child rises when they are seen and challenged well. This is a contracted position. The hourly rate follows the State of Alabama ALSDE rate for this role. We are looking for a provider who understands that speech and language services are not a side program. They are part of how a student accesses everything else we offer. Scope of Services Evaluate students to determine eligibility for speech and language services under Alabama special education guidelines Deliver individualized therapy that connects to what students are doing in their classrooms Write and implement IEP goals, and document progress in a way that holds up to review Consult with teachers so that strategies carry beyond the therapy setting Communicate with families in plain language about their child's progress Participate in IEP meetings and eligibility determinations Maintain records that meet state and federal requirements Submit documentation of service hours on the schedule set by the school Qualifications Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology Current Alabama licensure through the Board of Examiners for Speech Pathology and Audiology ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence, or eligibility to obtain Experience serving middle and high school students preferred Comfort working in a growing school where some systems are still being built Ability to provide proof of liability insurance and complete an ALSDE background check
