Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate
LICENSED
Speech Therapist or Speech Therapy Assistant with degree to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in speech therapy, with experience working with pediatric populations and early intervention services. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patients' communication skills and overall quality of life by providing expert assessment, therapy, and patient-centered care. The successful applicant will demonstrate excellent communication skills, a thorough understanding of physiology and anatomy related to speech and language, and a commitment to ongoing professional development. Duties Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for pediatric patients, including those in early intervention programs. Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs, focusing on improving speech, language, and communication skills. Deliver evidence-based speech therapy interventions across various settings, including clinics, schools, or community centers. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams such as pediatricians, occupational therapists, and educators to coordinate patient care. Educate families and caregivers on strategies to support ongoing communication development at home. Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress, therapy sessions, and treatment outcomes in compliance with regulatory standards. Stay informed about the latest advancements in speech therapy techniques, physiology knowledge, and medical terminology relevant to patient care. Qualifications Contract position Prior experience working in school settings or with pediatric populations is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of pediatrics, anatomy, physiology related to speech production, and early intervention practices. Arkansas Certification or licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) from an accredited professional body is required. Certificate of insurance Proficiency in conducting patient assessments and designing targeted therapy plans. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with children and their families. Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to speech disorders and anatomy knowledge is essential.
