A Speech Language Pathologist diagnoses and treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients with a variety of conditions. Helps patients improve their ability to make sounds or use language, or develop non-spoken means of communication. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Job Description

Speechology NWA is looking for a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist to join our growing private practice! Our clinic specializes in dyslexia and language-based literacy intervention, in addition to providing traditional speech and language services. Because many of the families we serve are school-aged, our greatest current need is during after-school hours. We are looking for an SLP who is available a couple of afternoons per week and would like the flexibility of a part-time position. This could be a great fit for a school-based SLP looking for a few additional hours, an SLP wanting to transition into private practice, or someone simply looking for a flexible part-time schedule. Experience with dyslexia or structured literacy is a plus, but not required. We are happy to provide training and support for the right person.

Ideal candidate:

Arkansas SLP license and ASHA CCCs Available at least 2 afternoons per week, particularly after school Enjoys working with school-aged children Interested in dyslexia, literacy, speech, and language intervention Dependable, collaborative, and comfortable working independently Looking for a flexible, supportive private-practice environment Schedule is part-time with the potential to grow as our caseload continues to expand.
