May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.
Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) — PRN Potential to Grow Into Full-Time Salaried Position Outcomes ABA is hiring a PRN Speech-Language Pathologist to provide evaluation and treatment services for children with autism and developmental communication needs. This is an opportunity to join a growing pediatric ABA clinic and work closely with BCBAs, Behavior Technicians/RBTs, caregivers, and other members of the child's care team. The position will begin PRN, with the potential to develop into a full-time salaried role as our caseload and interdisciplinary services grow. Experience with the ADOS/ADOS-2 and autism evaluations is strongly preferred. SLPs without prior ADOS experience are welcome to apply but must be willing to complete appropriate training and develop competency in autism-focused evaluation.

Services may address receptive and expressive language, functional communication, social communication, speech production, AAC, and related areas within the SLP's scope of practice. The position may also participate in autism-focused evaluations, including ADOS-2 administration when the clinician has completed appropriate training and established competency. Responsibilities Conduct speech and language evaluations Develop individualized treatment plans and measurable goals Provide evidence-based speech-language therapy Address receptive, expressive, functional, and social communication skills Evaluate speech sound and articulation needs when appropriate Assess and support AAC needs when indicated Collect and document clinical data and patient progress Complete treatment documentation accurately and timely Collaborate with BCBAs and other members of the child's treatment team Provide caregiver education and recommendations Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning and autism evaluations Administer and score the ADOS-2 when appropriately trained and qualified Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with applicable ethical and professional standards Qualifications Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders Current or eligible Arkansas Speech-Language Pathologist license ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) Pediatric experience preferred Experience working with children with autism or developmental disabilities strongly preferred
