Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations. Develop and implement individualized speech-language therapy plans tailored to each person's unique needs and goals. Deliver engaging therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based techniques to improve speech clarity, language comprehension, social communication, and swallowing functions. Collaborate effectively with parents, caregivers, teachers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive patient care and optimal outcomes. Utilize Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems to document assessments, treatment progress, and patient interactions accurately. Stay current with advances in physiology, anatomy related to speech and swallowing functions, and medical terminology relevant to patient care. Skills Proven experience working with pediatric populations in early intervention day treatment centers or school settings is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of speech therapy techniques for individuals with speech impairments and disabilities across age groups. Familiarity with conducting comprehensive speech and language evaluations utilizing standardized assessments. Ability to develop effective speech-language therapy plans focusing on functional communication improvements. Excellent collaboration skills for multidisciplinary teamwork involving educators and families. Knowledge of anatomy and physiology related to speech production and swallowing processes.
