Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate school-based Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you have a vital role in helping students ages 3-22 improve their communication skills, overcome speech and language disorders, and enhance their quality of life. You will work closely with students, families, and other team members to assess, diagnose, and develop personalized treatment plans tailored to each individual's needs. Your responsibilities will include conducting evaluations, providing therapy sessions, monitoring progress, and educating patients and caregivers on strategies for improved communication.Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders. Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings, student IEP goals, and evidence-based practices. Provide therapy sessions using various techniques and modalities to address speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders. Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to achieve optimal outcomes. Collaborate with district teams to collaborate on IEP goals. Educate students, families, and caregivers on strategies for improving communication and swallowing function and providing guidance and support throughout the process. Stay current with advances in speech-language pathology through continuing education, professional development, and participation in conferences and seminars. Adhere to ethical and professional standards as outlined by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and state licensing boards. Other Duties as Assigned.Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA (or eligibility for certification). AZ State licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist. Clinical experience working with diverse populations across the lifespan. Strong clinical skills in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning for speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Commitment to ongoing professional development and evidence-based practice. Experience with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systemSkills:
Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to speech pathology Proficiency in conducting speech therapy sessions and implementing treatment plans Knowledge of IEP process In-depth understanding of anatomy and physiology related to speech and swallowing Experience working in educational setting with pediatrics Excellent student assessment skills to accurately diagnose speech disordersJob Details:
